Neo-Soul aus London
Gut vier Jahre ist es her, dass die schwedische, inzwischen in London ansässige Jazz- und Soulsängerin Fatima „Yellow memories“ herausgebracht hat. Ihr Debüt wurde damals bei den Gilles Petersons Worldwide Awards 2015 direkt zum “Album des Jahres” gekürt und im Rolling Stone Magazine unter den Top 20 der R’n’B-Alben des Jahres gelistet. Ihre ausdrucksstarke Stimme und energiegeladenen Live-Auftritte haben der Eglo Live Band seitdem einen Ruf als leidenschaftliche Performer eingebracht. Im September 2018 kam nun das zweite Album „And yet it’s all love“ für das Fatima wieder mit einer Reihe spannender Musiker und Producer zusammengearbeitet hat, darunter Stones Throw’s MNDSGN, J.D Reid (Mabel, D Double E), Purist (Daupe), Taz Arnold (Kendrick Lamar), Swarvy und Natureboy Flako. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass die dazugehörige Tour sie endlich auch im Karlstorbahnhof auf die Bühne bringt!

second album, And Yet It’s All Love — an emotional, yet entertaining trip through the full cycle of a romantic relationship, told in Fatima’s now-familiar soulful style. Once again, she calls on a talented array of producers and instrumentalists to paint that picture; from Stones Throw’s MNDSGN, J.D Reid (Mabel, D Double E), Purist (Daupe), Taz Arnold (Kendrick Lamar), Swarvy and regular collaborator, Natureboy Flako.
